Gruene Tea Haus

If you have never been to a tea room before, you should correct that immediately.

I recently tried Gruene Tea Haus. It was my first time ever at an asian tea room, and it was magical.

I was a little intimidated at first. This isn't like a coffee shop where you just walk up to the counter and order a latte, but the owners are incredibly kind and helpful. The atmosphere is peaceful and lovely. They encourage remote workers to come and stay for as long as you like. You can find a cozy corner to sit as work, or you can strike up a conversation with a stranger.

Tea: No coffee of course 😊, but they have many wonderful teas which are a great alternative when you're trying to cut down on your latte addiction. When you go in, you choose your tea from a very wide selection and then you choose your cup. For my first visit, I wanted to try something I've never had before so I tried one of their Pu'er teas. This is a fermented tea. I didn't know what to expect, but the flavor of the tea was deep and satisfying. During my second visit I decided to try an Oolong tea. It was a lighter Oolong with floral notes. I have never tasted anything like it in my life!

Food: They have some very cool tea infused pastries. I haven't been able to try one yet, but when I do, I'll come back and update. They look delicious.

Privacy: The room is open with several tables all around. It's got the basic privacy of any coffee shop. You can also sit outside and have all the privacy you need.

Restroom: Yes, they have a restroom :).

Available seating: There's lots seating. They have regular tables and a sitting area in the back with some comfy chairs. They also have an outdoor area for when the weather is nice.

Outlets: There are a few outlets around, but not many. If you need one, you can find one.

WiFi: They have free wifi and it works well, even outside.

Noise Level: There are people chatting and other than that, it's quiet. It's a perfect noise level if you like a little background white noise but like it mostly quiet.

Vibes: Homey, comfy, zen.
