Kinnor Coffee

The mysterious Kinnor Coffee just opened up a stand alone shop in New Braunfels and it is beautiful. For those that don't know, Kinnor has a location at 5 Stones Brewery. They were only open on weekends and were a little hard to find. I tried to find it several times and failed before finally discovering it (it's a great place to work outside when the weather is nice). But now, we can enjoy this excellent coffee in this awesome coffee shop during the week, AND it's in a great location, Castell Ave just down the street from Krause's (going away from downtown).

Coffee: They have some of the best coffee in New Braunfels. If you like coffee, they have something you'll love here. For an iced latte lover like me, the have an excellent list of specialty lattes. I got the butterscotch iced latte and it was great. It came in a "for here" glass which was so charming. The downside is that the coffee is a bit expensive for the amount you get. It's fairly comparable to other higher quality shops, but if you're looking for a quick 32oz of drive thru coffee, this isn't the place. However, if you're a quality over quantity person, it's excellent. This glass cost $6.50 (plus tip :) ).

Food: They have a few pastries that look good. They're still in their soft opening phase so they may be adding to it, but really, you come here for the coffee and the vibes.

Privacy: Normal coffee shop privacy. They have several rooms including a back room that's a bit quieter than the front area.

Restroom: They have a small restroom in the hallway across from the service counter. It's serviceable.

Available seating: The front area has a long row of tables that work great for laptops. They have comfortable couch seating in the other rooms. There seems to be plenty of seating.

Outlets: There aren't many outlets. I saw a few on the floor scattered around. I'd love to see some outlets added along the bench seating on the wall, but as of now, don't plan on being able to access power.

WiFi: Yes. The wifi works well. Password: findrest

Noise Level: Soft folky music playing in the background and a bit of coffee shop chatter. Perfect for me.
Vibes: I'm going to start adding a vibes section because I think this is also an important part of the remote working experience. Here at Kinnor they have a very relaxed peaceful vibe with a sense of homeyness. It feels like you're in a small community coffee shop where everyone knows everyone. It's very welcoming and warm.
