Hatch Cafe and Bakery (Bulverde)
Hatch Cafe and Bakery is located in a charming old house in downtown Bulverde. The friendly staff and relaxing ambiance give this place a homey vibe. They have 2 indoor seating areas and 2 nice porch areas to sit in. They have many breakfast options and a bunch of specialty lattes. The area feels like a quiet small town. It's a very nice place to sit and work. The only cons for me are that there aren't really any outlets to plug in to and the wifi doesn't reach outside very well.
I make it out to this place about once a month. Although it's fairly close to San Antonio and New Braunfels, when I come out here I always feel like I'm getting out of the city.
Coffee: Good coffee with lots of speciality options to compliment the classics.
Food: They have a nice breakfast option called the "Hatch Breakfast" that you should try if you want a full breakfast. They also have a good breakfast sandwich, but it's a bit pricey at $14. All the traditional bakery fare is available as well.
Privacy: They are usually at least a little busy. However, it isn't too hard to find a private corner to yourself. I sat on the porch in between their two inside dining areas and no one sat near me the whole time.
Restroom: There is a tiny restroom located to the side and behind the cash register. It's too small for this place, and there's a window that anyone could look into, but I've always been able to get in when I needed it. They do have better restrooms in the second dining area.
Available seating: They recently expanded their seating options. There are a lot of indoor and outdoor options.
Outlets: I couldn't find any outlets to use. Adding some outlets would be a great upgrade in my opinion.
WiFi: They have wifi inside, but I wasn't able to get it on the patio. I had to use my hotspot.
Noise Level: The porch where I was sitting was very quiet with some light relaxing music playing. I've sat inside several times and it's got moderate coffee shop background noise.
