Laika Cheesecake and Espresso

Liaka Cheesecake and Espresso is a newer edition to New Braunfels. It's a small, San Antonio based chain. Essentially, it's a coffee shop that sells cheesecake instead of pastries, but when I say they sell cheesecake, I mean they sell a HUGE variety of awesome cheesecake. The shop is set up well for remote workers with comfortable seating, good wifi, and outlets everywhere. It was a little chilly in the shop when I was there. There is a thermostat in the corner I saw an employee work. It's in a somewhat hiden corner so if you're feeling confident, you probably can change the temp. to whatever you want. The employees were super friendly and fun. Overall I found this to be a great spot to work and I will definitely be working it into my regular rotation.

Coffee: I got to try to lattes (they accidentally made the wrong one so they gave me both). I had a vanilla iced latte and a tres leches latte. Both came with blue whipped cream on top. The vanilla one was less sweet than I thought it would be. It was very espresso forward and the espresso was quite good. I was told the tres leches latte was sugar free. If that's true, they have an excellent sugar substitute. It was sweet and delicious. They have all of the classic coffee drinks as well as a bunch of drinks I don't normally see. They also have specialty refreshers and chai drinks that I've never seen before.

Food: As far as I can tell, they only have cheesecake. However, they have A TON of different flavors that change regularly. You can get slices, but they also have these little glass jars of cheesecake that are perfect if you just want  a little sweet treat while you work. I had a honey and peach jar which was delicious.

Privacy: It has the normal privacy you would expect at a coffee shop. The seating is located on the permitter of the shop. If you face counter, no one can walk behind you and see your screen.

Restroom: There is one restroom, but it's very nice. The shop doesn't seem to be too busy so the one restroom is enough.

Available seating: The shop is set up with remote workers in mind. There are several single seats facing the window, then a row of doubles, and a conference table in the corner.

Outlets:  All of the seats have access to an outlet; however, some spots are a bit of a reach. The outlets near the 2 tops are up higher on the wall. Not a big deal, but a bit unusual.

WiFi: They do have available wifi, but the network name and password aren't displayed. I took a picture of the network name and password after asking about it.

Noise Level: They have music playing at medium level. The music is generally indie folk/pop. It's not too loud and provides good background noise.
