If you're in the Bulverde/Spring Branch area, You should check out the Barnhouse coffee shop and bakery.
It's just off the 46 right before you get to highway 281 (coming from New Braunfels) so it's an easy stop if you're crossing Comal County. It's a medium busy shop that serves a variety of coffee and tea as well as other drinks. They also have delicious pastries, oatmeal, and an excellent breakfast sandwich.
The noise level is normal coffee shop noise. There are several places to sit as well as free wifi. They also have a small outdoor seating area.
The big thing they lack is outlets. There are very few places you can plug in a laptop. However, it's a nice shop in a convenient area with a friendly staff that serves good coffee. I stop here regularly to spend a few hours on work.
Coffee: In my opinion, the coffee is excellent. I'm an iced latte guy, and they make it just right. Try the salted caramel Barnchata. Also, they have a 32oz option which is nice because sometimes it's just a 32oz kinda day if you know what I mean.
Food: Their pastries are solid. They have a lot of options for breakfast, but nothing really for lunch. I recommend the sausage breakfast sandwich.
Privacy: It's a coffee shop so expect the normal coffee shop privacy. That being said, you can find a corner to sit where no one will bother you.
Public Restroom: Available. Clean.
Available seating: I've always been able to find a seat even during the busy parts of the day. Come in the afternoon and you can basically sit anywhere. They have a few small tables out front as well.
Outlets: There's an outlet on the wall under the menu. Also, the small table in the back corner near the restrooms is hiding another outlet. Other than that, I haven't been able to find any.
WiFi: Public WiFi is available. It works well even outside.
Noise Level: The noise level is moderate. Basically what you would expect at a coffee shop. The music plays fairly quietly.
Note: This shop plays Christian music and is loosely Christian themed.
